THE CAT: Ch.8 - Tiny dictator with blind ambition!

Sophie claims 'Squatters Rights' on an adjacent piece of ground :)

A blind cat with confidence is an animal to be reckoned with!

The narrator turns to his right and looks out of the home office window seeking inspiration (or relief from boredom) ... and there 'it' is ... Sophie running (no, GALAVANTING) in the recently vacated next-door-neighbour's yard! WTF?

Having painstakingly 'Sophie-proofed' the outdoor enclosure, replete with cat mini-golf course for entertainment, the ungrateful tyrant has decided to venture further afield ... and she knows EXACTLY what she is doing! If the inherent dangers of a blind cat venturing into a new, unsecured, environment are not enough, the issue of HOW? is even more perplexing ... hmmmmmmm ...

'What do you think you are you doing???', I call as I scale the fence and access the neighbour's yard. By now she has recognised that the game is up having sensed who the familiar human is that is scaling the dividing barrier separating the properties. 'Raaahhhh' (interpreted as shit he has caught me) she yells back in defiance! 'Home now you', I demand which is followed by the standard repeat 'Raaaahhhh' as the Sophie waddle fires up and she heads for the re-entry point along the common border. 'So how you going to get back smarty pants?' I think smugly, believing that this will involve the ignominy of me having to pick her up and place her back in our yard (she HATES being assisted in any activity).

True to form, however, she calibrates herself and scales the fence. Not content just to be back on the right patch of dirt, she then runs to the back door, demands to be let in, scarpers to the food bowl and makes a polite, but assertive request for Greenies (cat treats)!

Sophie logic goes like this, 'Look mate you caught me red-handed, I came back when you asked, so give me a treat and we can call it quits, what do you reckon?' ... and this is why you just gotta love Sophie! See the video HERE
